Job summary

Southern Sun is seeking a seasoned Security Manager to lead hotel safety and security operations in Abu Dhabi. You will enforce policies, oversee emergency response plans, and coordinate with law enforcement and civil defense to maintain a secure guest environment.

The role requires Arabic and English fluency, at least five years in security leadership within hospitality, and strong skills in crisis management, surveillance technology, and team development. Abu Dhabi experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience as a Security Manager in hospitality or related field
• Diploma or degree in criminal justice or related field
• CPR, First Aid, AED and specialized security training
• Proficiency with computer systems and surveillance technology; strong leadership, communication and crisis management
• Bilingual in Arabic and English; Abu Dhabi experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and security, enforce policies and emergency response plans for hotel operations
• Manage all security operations to ensure a safe environment for guests, staff, assets
• Liaise with Abu Dhabi Police and Civil Defense to coordinate security efforts
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Act and Abu Dhabi regulations
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems; manage master keys and access points
• Recruit, train and supervise the security team; ensure patrol coverage
• Investigate incidents, accidents, thefts and property damage; file detailed reports
• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify risks and implement mitigations
• Build a competent, motivated security team through strong leadership

Our successful Security Manager

• Manages the overall safety and security ensuring security policies procedures and emergency response plans for the hotel operations are enforced

• effectively manage all aspects of the companys security operations to ensure a safe environment for all guests staff their belongings and company assets

• Liaise and build strong relationships with local Law Enforcement Agencies in Abu Dhabi such as the Abu Dhabi Police and Civil Defense.

• Ensure all practices adhere to the Health and Safety Act and local Abu Dhabi regulations.

• Monitor CCTV alarm systems and manage key control (master keys) and access points throughout the property.

• Recruit train and supervise the security team ensuring proper patrolling and coverage.

• Investigate incidents accidents thefts property damage or suspicious activity filing detailed reports.

• Conduct regular safety inspections to identify risks to the business

• build a competent and motivated team of security officers through confident and caring leadership.

Requirements

• Must have 5 years experience as a Security Manager with strong managerial skills in corporate security law enforcement or military preferably within hospitality.

• High school diploma or degree in criminal justice or related field.

• CPR First Aid AED and specialized security training.

• Proficiency in computer systems and surveillance technology strong leadership communication and crisis management skills

• Must speak Arabic and English

• Must have Abu Dhabi experience
