Job summary

Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate A/C Technician to install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance on cooling systems, troubleshoot components, and coordinate with engineering to resolve issues while upholding safety standards. A diploma in refrigeration or building services and strong English are required, with a hands-on, proactive approach in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in maintenance of refrigeration systems or building services.
• Proven knowledge in operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Good command of English and fault-finding abilities.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and service electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel.
• Maintain preventive maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Check performance of refrigeration systems and components.
• Verify door closing systems on walk-in coolers / freezers.
• Check and maintain defrosting systems and ice-maker automation.
• Work on maintenance requests from all departments.
• Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
• Check performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems.
• Cooperate with engineering colleagues to diagnose failures and set up solutions.
• Strict control on venting of CFCs to atmosphere.
• Overhaul air-condition / refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Check all refrigeration and oil levels and control major repairs.
• Cooperate with Engineering Storekeeper on parts purchases.
• Carry out all works as per country technical regulations and safety standards.
