Job summary

Duolingo is seeking a Hindi localization specialist to translate and adapt marketing and product copies for our Hindi audience, ensuring accuracy, charisma, and adherence to our style guide.

You will collaborate with the localization team, refine tone with meetings, contribute to in‑house Hindi style guidelines, and produce engaging content that resonates with users while preserving Duolingo's brand voice.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Hindi and professional fluency in English.
• 3+ years of experience翻译/转写/ proofreading/ copywriting for a Hindi audience
• Experience localizing online, mobile, and/or game products
• A portfolio of past work to demonstrate expertise
• Strong interest in Duolingo and our mission
• Ability to work 15-30 hrs/week

Responsibilities

• Localize all marketing and product copies, ensuring they are accurate, charismatic, and reflect Duolingo's style guide and requirements
• Attend meetings/consult with fellow team members to discuss translations and align on style, tone, and vocabulary
• Contribute to the development of in‑house style guides for Hindi
• Ensure that original content is not only understandable for Hindi audience, but also engaging and compelling
