Job summary

Danube Group in Dubai seeks a Heavy Driver to operate heavy-duty vehicles delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites. You will plan routes with dispatch, perform pre/post-trip checks, and maintain records of deliveries while upholding safety and professional standards.

The role requires a UAE heavy vehicle license and 3+ years of relevant experience, with flexibility for early mornings and weekends as needed. You will work closely with site teams to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driver's License (HDT or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy driver, preferably in construction or ready-mix concrete.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE roads, including major construction sites and traffic patterns.
• Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently, with a clean driving record.
• Excellent spatial awareness and navigation skills, with the ability to read and interpret maps.
• Physical fitness to perform basic vehicle maintenance and assist with loading/unloading.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and site teams.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues promptly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, as needed.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty vehicles to transport ready-mix concrete to construction sites.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes, considering traffic conditions and site requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining effective communication with dispatch and site supervisors.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
• Assist in loading and unloading concrete, working collaboratively with site personnel.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and quantity of concrete delivered.
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a safe driving record.
• Provide exceptional customer service, representing Danube Building Materials with professionalism.
