Job summary

Arada is seeking a Heavy Bus Driver in the UAE to safely transport employees and staff, follow routes, and ensure vehicle readiness. You will perform daily inspections, maintain records, and stay compliant with UAE laws and company policies.

The role requires a valid UAE heavy bus license, 3 years of experience, and strong safety and communication skills. Flexible hours and shifts may be required to support operations.

Qualifications

• Valid UAE Heavy Bus Driving Licence (Category 6 or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of heavy bus driving experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Experience in employee/staff transportation is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Clean and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company heavy buses for employee and staff transportation.
• Transport passengers according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees at designated locations.
• Follow all UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and company transportation policies.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Check brakes, tires, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential vehicle systems.
• Report any vehicle defects, breakdowns or maintenance requirements immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and general condition of the assigned bus.
• Ensure passenger safety during boarding, travel, and drop-off.
• Follow approved routes and transportation schedules.
• Maintain accurate records such as trip sheets, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the Transport Supervisor regarding route changes, delays, breakdowns, or other operational issues.
• Assist passengers when required, particularly during boarding and alighting.
• Ensure the bus is parked safely at the designated location after each trip.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and follow company procedures.
• Ensure no unauthorized passengers or materials are transported in the vehicle.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct while dealing with employees and passengers.
