Job summary

GEMS Education seeks a dedicated professional to manage all non-education health and safety aspects of school business operations in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the Principal/CEO in implementing the health and safety policy to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include managing OSHAD – SF compliance, leading HSE audits, and updating safety policies in line with regulatory requirements, while maintaining strong stakeholder relations and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, written and oral.
• Attention to detail with timely follow-up and ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Strong organizational abilities for self and team.
• Forward planning, especially for local Government compliance matters.
• Ability to influence others and network with cultural sensitivity, with good interpersonal skills.
• Proven supervisory capabilities.
• Commercial acumen relevant to health, safety and operations.

The post holder will be fully responsible to effectively manage all non-education, health and safety related activities within school business operations.

To embody the values, vision and ethos of GEMS Education and assist the Principal/CEO in delivering the health and safety policy which will ensure high quality and successful outcomes.

Job Scope

• To be responsible for all elements of OSHAD – SF
• To be responsible for all internal and external HSE Audits and ensure standards and requirements are met.
• To be responsible for updating all health and safety policies in line with OSHAD SF.
