Job summary

Nord Anglia International School Dubai is seeking a dynamic Head of Secondary to lead teaching staff and shape the school's educational direction. The postholder will work with the Deputy Head to oversee daily operations, staff development, and performance management within a UK National Curriculum/I GCSE/A Levels/IB context.

The role

A key member of the School Leadership Team, the Head of Secondary will provide direction, inspiration and guidance to Secondary teaching staff. Focused on developing a high performing team, and with the support of the Deputy Head, the postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school, including staff development, performance management and deployment. The role also includes membership of the Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will deliver the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE, A Levels, International Baccalaureate Programme and BTEC in a fast-paced international environment. They will challenge students to set ambitious targets and use innovative teaching practices to enhance student experiences and outcomes.

• Commercial, financial and organisational awareness to devise effective solutions
• University degree in specialist subject, teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience
• Receptive to feedback, ready to embrace change and keen to share best practice
• Ability to meet visa-related requirements for the UAE
