Scope of Work Position Title: Head of Production Department: Production Reports To: Project Manager

Role Overview

The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production across the channel's content. This includes managing the production team, developing schedules, assigning tasks, maintaining production quality, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The Head of Production will act as the main point of contact for the production team and may step in as a videographer or editor when needed to support deadlines or fill urgent gaps.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Management & Coordination
    • Lead and supervise the entire production team, including videographers, editors, assistants, and freelancers.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities based on project needs and team capacity.
    • Conduct regular check‑ins to ensure task completion, motivation, and accountability across the team.
  2. Scheduling & Planning
    • Create and manage production schedules for all video content.
    • Coordinate shoot days, edit timelines, and delivery deadlines.
    • Ensure resource availability (crew, equipment, locations) is aligned with project timelines.
  3. Production Quality & Standards
    • Oversee the quality of all produced content, ensuring consistency with the channel's creative direction and technical standards.
    • Review rough and final cuts and provide feedback to the editors and videographers.
  4. Hands‑On Support
    • Step in as a videographer or editor when needed, especially during high‑demand periods or urgent deadlines.
    • Assist in resolving technical or creative issues on‑site or in post‑production.
  5. Communication & Reporting
    • Act as the main point of contact between the production team and other departments (content, social media, etc.).
    • Provide production updates, flag challenges early, and recommend solutions to management.
    • Prepare and share production reports and timelines as needed.
  6. Production Development
    • Contribute to improving workflows, systems, and templates for more efficient production.
    • Source and test new equipment or tools that can enhance production quality and speed.
    • Suggest creative ideas or improvements from a production standpoint during planning stages.
