Job summary

Alpha Advocates and Legal Consultants in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Head of Litigation to lead the firm’s litigation department in the UAE. The role requires strategic leadership, oversight of a team of lawyers, and handling complex disputes.

You will develop litigation strategy, advise clients and internal teams, represent clients in court or arbitration, and ensure timely, high-quality pleadings while building strong relationships with clients and the judiciary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a litigation attorney with leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of UAE litigation laws and procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to mentor and develop legal talent within the department.
• Membership in the UAE Bar Association.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the litigation department.
• Oversee a team of lawyers and legal professionals.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the litigation department.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on complex litigation cases to internal teams and clients.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Supervise the preparation of legal documents, pleadings and briefs.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting litigation in the UAE.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.
• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines for litigation cases.
