• Strong UAE regulatory knowledge and risk-based auditing experience.
• CIA mandatory or highly preferred; CPA/ACCA/CISA/CFA/CRMA advantageous.
• Relevant degree; a Master’s is preferred.

We are seeking a senior internal audit professional to lead the audit function of a regulated banking organisation and provide independent assurance to senior stakeholders and the Board.

The Opportunity

You will shape and deliver the risk-based audit strategy, assess governance and controls, lead an audit team and play a key role in regulatory engagement and audit transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the risk-based internal audit plan.
• Oversee audits across banking operations, treasury, credit, compliance, AML/CFT and technology.
• Evaluate governance, internal controls, risk frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with the CBUAE, Board Audit Committee, external auditors and senior management.
• Report audit findings and remediation progress to senior stakeholders.
• Lead the audit team and improve audit quality and delivery.

What We Are Looking For

• 16+ years in banking/financial services, including 10+ years in Internal Audit.
• 5+ years in senior audit leadership within a UAE-regulated institution.
• Strong UAE regulatory knowledge and practical risk-based auditing/IIA experience.
• CIA mandatory or highly preferred; CPA, ACCA, CISA, CFA or CRMA advantageous.
• Relevant degree; a Master’s is preferred.
