Ideal candidate has 10+ years in underwriting with strong regulatory knowledge and team leadership. This role emphasizes delivering results, driving growth, and maintaining high standards of risk

Responsibilities

• Ensure production growth targets across Direct and FAC RI operations are achieved.
• Provide leadership to address shortfalls in top line with remedial actions.
• Manage the bottom line: loss and expense ratios, and profitability targets.
• Lead development, supervision, negotiation and sign-off of large programs with strong policy structures.
• Provide strategic direction for new business / new product development.
• Ensure adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Set objectives for direct reports and align KPIs with business goals.
• Engage with internal lines and external brokers/agents to grow business while understanding loss drivers.
• Join GCC&NA leadership team and the EMEA Financial Lines leadership team.

Make your mark in Financial Lines

The Head of Financial Lines will lead the team based in Dubai. The selected candidate will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and accelerating AIGs Financial Lines business across the region. This role will bring deep market expertise strong commercial acumen and strategic leadership to build a high-performing Financial Lines portfolio manage all Financial Lines Underwriting within GCC&NA including the establishment implementation and evaluation of production and profitability goals for Financial Lines.

How you will create an impact

• Ensure that production growth targets across both: Direct and FAC RI operations are achieved.
• Provide leadership to take remedial action to address shortfalls in top line.
• Manage the bottom line: Loss and expense ratios and achieve profitability targets on combined and Accident year combined ratio.
• Play an active role in the development supervision negotiation and sign off of large programs by motivating limits and policy structures
• Keep abreast of market changes and trends. Provide strategic direction for new business / new product development.
• Ensure adherence to audit regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Set objectives for direct reports provide input for objectives of matrix reports and ensure that staff objectives/ KPIs are aligned to achievement of business goals.
• Executive Leadership - report performance provide strategy updates and share market developments
• Engagement with internal lines of business and external clients- Brokers / Agents - build and grow the business with brokers and agents claims and actuarial to understand the drivers of our losses
• Become part of the GCC&NA leadership team and the EMEA Financial Lines leadership team.
