- Develop a comprehensive risk framework that will guide Noon’s operations in the achievement of its mandate;
- Align Noon’s Regional Risk Management Framework and underlying risk programs and processes, ensuring the organization is operating in compliance with applicable industry best practices and global regulatory guidelines;
- Design Risk Framework Components - Enhance, build, or expand Risk Identification, Risk Scoring, Risk Appetite, and Risk Reporting infrastructures, including relevant programs and processes across the region;
- Lead ERM special projects such as corporate educational risk training, expanding risk automation tools, maintenance of ERM policies and documentation, and activities focusing on the advancement of risk accountability and culture;
- Responsible for managing all aspects of enterprise risk, which include designing of assessment and management: policies, processes, guidelines, reports, monitoring the effective implementation of the same;
- Responsible for implementing the Company’s Risk Management Policy Framework a periodically revised and approved by the Audit Committee or Board of Directors while ensuring that the Company’s key risks of credit, market, operational are identified, assessed, measured, controlled, and managed prudentially;
- Develop appropriate initiatives to mitigate the risk exposure level to the organization;
- Enhancement and strengthening of the company’s risk management framework with the following specific responsibilities and accountability of the job;
- Co‑ordinate and oversee implementation of the Company’s Risk Management Policy Framework;
- In liaison with the Senior Management Team conduct periodic risk assessments and prepare the respective risk profiles that facilitate monitoring of the risk component in Noon;
- Continuously monitor the company’s risk exposure and flags off any areas of concerns;
- Development of risk indicators and ensuring compliance;
- Prepare and present on a quarterly, semi‑annually or an annual basis to the Audit & Risk Committee of the Board the Company’s risk profile highlighting key risks facing the company and recommending appropriate mitigating measures;
- Develop work plan and budgets for the department for approval;
- Oversee the execution of departmental work plan and budgets;
- Oversee performance management of staff in the department;
- Identify training needs for the departmental staff;
- Mentor and coach staff within the department.
What you’ll need:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Risk Management or related fields;
- Professional qualifications in risk management or finance;
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Risk Management at a managerial level and overall experience of ten (10) plus years in related field such as internal audit and finance & accounts;
- Must have proficiency in governance, control and risk;
- Should have thorough knowledge of e‑commerce industry as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the relevant sector;
- Knowledge of systems commonly utilized within e‑commerce and/or retail environment;
- Ability to understand and document workflows and business processes;
- Must have ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate departmental goals;
- Must demonstrate ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, and work under strict deadlines;
- Must have high standards of integrity and ethical practice;
- Must have management and leadership skills;
- Must have ability to accurately plan work assignments, prioritize tasks and deliver deadlines;
- Should be an effective communicator with the ability to handle both internal and external communication;
- Should have effective people management and conflict resolution skills;
