Apply now for the position of Head of Deal Desk based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will consult and support the management and optimization of pricing and negotiation processes for commercial business, including complex deals, significant contracts, and business agreements. You will engage in pricing strategy, contract negotiation support, and collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, tenders, procurement, legal, and service functions to maximize profitability and mitigate risks.

Your Role
  • Review deals in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Advising/counselling sales teams on deal structuring, modelling, pricing, and T&Cs.
  • Govern pricing policy in accordance with global guidance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to optimise deal strategy.
  • Regularly review and approve business partner pricelists.
  • Collaborate with Global Deal Desk for continuous improvement of deal management processes.
  • Execute pricing positioning of CLS and SLS based on global guidance.
  • Safeguard data quality in CPQ systems for accurate reporting of deal performance.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including senior management and other departments, to manage risks and opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for all functions involved in deal building (sales, marketing, finance, etc.).
  • Partner with Procurement to reduce cost impact of third‑party suppliers and find alternative competitive suppliers.
  • Support sales and commercial teams in pre‑competitive analysis to achieve the best trade‑off between technical and economic scores.
  • Implement a country‑level process for debriefing on tender outcomes and share outcomes at zone level (deep win/loss analysis).
  • Report to the Zone Lead and interact directly with the Sales Team, Business Managers, the service team, and other departments.
Your Expertise
  • Master/Bachelor in biomedical sciences, biochemistry or biology.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, with 2–5 years in sales and deep understanding of lab organization and tender dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate deal implications, assess risks, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategy.
  • Solid financial acumen to analyse pricing structures and assess profitability.
  • Strategic thinking to align individual deals with broader organisational goals.
  • Capability to navigate different competitor scenarios and deal landscapes.
  • Meticulous eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with tender requirements.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high‑performing team, open to challenges and creative solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Good English communication required; Arabic an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across MEA countries for DD meetings and training where required.
