Job summary

A prominent financial institution in the UAE is seeking a Head of Commercial Banking, responsible for driving the banking division, managing client relationships, and delivering tailored financial solutions. The ideal candidate has 10-12 years of banking experience, including 5 years in a leadership role, and a strong understanding of P&L management and credit structuring. This position offers an opportunity to lead strategic growth initiatives and digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

  • 10–12 years of progressive banking experience in corporate/SME banking with a top-tier bank in UAE.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of credit structuring and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage P&L and deliver strategic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy to identify, target, and onboard new clients across trade and working capital.
  • Develop client engagement plans to grow wallet share and cross-sell products.
  • Build market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor relationship managers and analysts.
  • Set clear KPIs and ensure delivery against business targets.
  • Oversee portfolio health and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Monitor asset quality and ensure adherence to risk parameters.
