The Head of Claims Middle East will ensure the delivery of operational, financial, and service objectives of the claims department. The role oversees processing of insurance claims with emphasis on financial and operational targets, effective monitoring and control over expenses, investment performance, product profitability, headcount, budget variances, and high‑level productivity and efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Strategic: Develop, adjust, and coordinate claims operations strategy and corresponding business plans, budgets, and initiatives for ME countries (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain & Kuwait). Lead major transformational projects to deliver a differentiated customer experience, simplify operations, strengthen the foundation, and leverage scale through better knowledge.
  • Operational: Oversee the claims department to achieve a high degree of productivity and high‑quality service to internal and external customers. Monitor and evaluate the enhancement of IT systems. Ensure appropriate authorizations and operational and financial controls are in place, meeting compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements. Maintain operating expense ratios within budget and report variances. Prepare business progress reports, monthly and quarterly reports, and establish analytical programs, tools, and dashboards to identify trends and improvement areas.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
  • Senior claims position for at least 10 years, experience in the financial services industry specifically in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex initiatives and organizational transformation projects and program development.
  • Well, able to lead others in a team environment involving multiple departments, countries, and organization levels.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance environment and internal insurance company procedures.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory framework, competitor landscape, distribution channels, insurance products, and external regulatory bodies requirements.
  • Capability to organize and manage complex flows interdepartmental activities, sales environment, customer orientation, risk management, product audit & compliance.
  • Excellent communicator with good interpersonal and people management skills.
