Dubai Taxi Company PJSC is a leading provider of comprehensive mobility solutions in the Emirate of Dubai and the largest taxi operator in the emirate, with a current market share of approximately 46% of the total taxi volume.

Having been established as a taxi company in 1994, with operations starting in 1995 with only 221 taxi cars, DTC has since expanded to other mobility businesses by leveraging its dominant leadership in the taxi sector and operational strength. It offers an extensive range of transportation solutions across its four key business lines, including taxi services through its large, eco-friendly fleet; VIP limousine services made up of chauffeur-driven vehicles for luxury service; its bus services; and its last-mile delivery bike services.

About the Role

The role is responsible for leading the company's growth strategy and overseeing the business development function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of growth strategies across all mobility business units.
  • Identify, evaluate, and structure strategic partnerships, investments, and joint ventures.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders, government entities, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee and mentor the business development team across verticals.
  • Conduct and monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sectoral developments to guide strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Functions / Sections to execute market expansion initiatives effectively and achieve desired results.
  • Provide strategic reports, forecasts, and recommendations to the Director of Investment and Commercial.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of contract process, from initiation to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with financial goals and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead the deployment of pricing models designed to maximize profitability while maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
  • Diligently oversee the execution of services, ensuring seamless coordination among clients, the Operations Sector, and the Finance Function.
  • Drive the negotiation and finalize strategic partnerships and alliances to strengthen market positioning and capitalize on synergies.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with prospective clients, partners, and key stakeholders by organizing and participating in regular meetings and networking events to explore collaboration opportunities and expand revenue streams.

The responsibilities are not limited to the above and may include additional tasks / projects as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial strategy, preferably within the mobility, transportation, or public sector domains, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing strategic initiatives or commercial functions.
  • Experience in deal structuring, negotiation, joint ventures, and market expansion within the GCC region is highly preferred.
  • Education : Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, strategic management, economics, marketing, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Professional certifications in Business Development, Strategic Planning, or Investment (e.g., Certified Business Development Expert – CBDE, Strategic Management Certification) and Project Management (PMP) are a plus.
  • Training in Contract Negotiation, Market Intelligence, or Corporate Finance is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in deal structuring, negotiation, joint ventures, and market expansion within the GCC region is highly preferred.
