Job summary

AL SAQER GROUP in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a seasoned Head Mechanic to lead the workshop team in Sharjah. You will oversee repair, maintenance, and diagnostic work on vehicles across brands, and ensure work is performed to high quality and safety standards.

You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, manage spare parts inventory, mentor junior mechanics, and collaborate with advisors to meet deadlines and uptime targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of head mechanic experience in automotive workshop
• Strong knowledge of engine, suspension, brakes and transmissions
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Experience in vehicle mechanical repair and maintenance Ability to diagnose mechanical problems efficiently Experience working with different vehicle brands Knowledge of engine suspension brake and transmission systems Ability to work under pressure and within a team UAE experience is preferred Lead and manage a team of mechanics to ensure efficient and effective maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and increase lifespan of equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide effective solutions Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for the team Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure adequate stock levels at all times Train and mentor junior mechanics to develop their skills and knowledge Perform regular performance evaluations of the team and provide feedback to improve performance and productivity Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical issues
