Job summary

Confidential in Dubai is seeking an experienced Manager - Data Center to lead and grow our Data Center EPC business, driving strategy, bid leadership and successful project delivery across power, cooling, BMS/DCIM and ICT/ELV systems.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in EPC/Design-Build with data center projects, strong client management, tendering, value engineering and risk management, plus proven leadership to mentor multidisciplinary teams. PMP or NEBOSH preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of total experience, preferably in EPC/Design-Build environments.
• Strong experience in Data Center projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Data Center systems including power, cooling, ICT/ELV, BMS/DCIM, controls, reliability and availability.
• Strong experience in tendering, estimation, value engineering and contract risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Center EPC business line, including strategy, growth plans and business targets.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and build relationships with clients, OEMs, technology vendors, consultants and delivery partners.
• Coordinate with Sales, Bidding and Technical teams throughout the opportunity and tendering process.
• Participate in client meetings, technical presentations and negotiations to support new project awards.
• Review and approve technical solutions covering power, cooling, BMS/DCIM, ICT/ELV and control systems.
• Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility assessments and constructability reviews during pre-bid stages.
• Develop and maintain standardized technical specifications, design templates and best practices.
• Review BOQs, material specifications and technical submittals for compliance and accuracy.
• Support tendering, estimation, value engineering, vendor evaluation and equipment selection.
• Provide technical and commercial support for contract scope, risks, assumptions and exclusions.
• Support project execution to ensure delivery within budget, schedule, quality and safety requirements.
• Ensure quality and commissioning requirements are properly incorporated into project delivery.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural and IT Infrastructure teams for integrated Data Center solutions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Data Center technical team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

10-15 years of total experience, preferably in EPC / Design-Build environments.

Strong experience in Data Center projects is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of Data Center systems, including:

• Power infrastructure
• Cooling systems
• ICT / ELV
• BMS / DCIM
• Controls
• Reliability and availability concepts

Strong experience in tendering, estimation, value engineering and contract risk management.

Proven experience in client management and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.

• NEBOSH IGC
