Job summary

Veolia Middle East is recruiting a Laboratory Manager based in Ruwais, UAE, to lead BeAAT and NORM plant laboratory operations. The role ensures accurate analysis of hazardous and radiological waste, maintains safety and regulatory compliance, and supports waste acceptance, routing, and treatment decisions.

The incumbent will drive data integrity, SOP evolution, and interdepartmental collaboration, with emphasis on cost-effective and compliant laboratory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in hazardous waste handling and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and laboratory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage laboratory operations at BeAAT and NORM Plants.
• Ensure accurate testing and characterization of hazardous and radiological waste.
• Plan sampling, testing, workload distribution, and scheduling.
• Oversee QA/QC, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with operations, safety, and commercial teams.
• Support innovation and waste-to-resource initiatives.
