Job summary

Auxo Talent in Dubai seeks aDirector of Data to own and evolve a Databricks (Azure) powered data platform for internal business use. This on-site leadership role requires hands-on technical ownership and shaping a growing data function.

You will work closely with stakeholders to govern data, design architecture, and enable AI/ analytics use cases, while delivering reliable data pipelines and platform components.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Azure, especially Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and ADF/Synapse
• Proven track record building or scaling enterprise data platforms for internal business functions
• Experience defining and applying data governance standards and frameworks
• Ability to present real architecture decisions with specifics in interviews
• Senior technical leader who stays close to the work, not only managed efforts

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a data platform built on Databricks (Azure) across architecture, pipelines, governance, and data quality
• Own and evolve core components such as Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and ADF/Synapse
• Establish data governance standards including access control, data quality, and platform reliability
• Serve internal corporate functions (finance, operations, reporting) with an internal-facing platform
• Make architecture decisions and present concrete systems you have built
• Support emerging AI/analytics use cases while focusing on the data platform itself
