A leading logistics firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Group Tax Manager to manage tax compliance and advisory initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, preferably in a Big Four Tax firm. Responsibilities include managing tax affairs, preparing compliance filings, and liaising with tax authorities. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication in English are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Big Four Tax firm or in-house with an international organization.
  • Experience managing relationships with external bodies such as Tax Authorities.
  • Ability to work with top management.

Job Summary :

The Group Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tax compliance affairs for the Group, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and supporting business operations. This role involves active participation in tax compliance processes, contributing to tax-related projects, and providing tax support to internal stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

Compliance

  • Manage the Group's day-to-day tax affairs, including tax compliance and related processes.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing the group’s Corporate Tax Compliance filings.
  • Prepare for OECD Pillar 2 Tax filings, including data collection, aligning with portfolio companies on local Pillar 2 compliance (registration, DMTT filings, provisioning).
  • Own and prepare transfer pricing documentation, including master files, local files, country-by-country reporting, and Pillar 2 compliance obligations.
  • Assist in VAT return filings, including e-invoicing projects across jurisdictions.
  • Maintain and execute the Group's tax control framework.
  • Support Quarter End Closing activities, including tax provisions and forecasts.

Advisory

  • Support implementation of new tax regulations.
  • Contribute to Operational Transfer Pricing initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and liaise with Tax Authorities as needed.
  • Assist in pursuing refunds, credits, and incentives in new markets or locations.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Legal, FP&A, and local Tax and Finance teams.
  • Stay informed of new tax legislation and regulations.

Requirements

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Membership from CTA, IFA, NOB, or similar is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Big Four Tax firm or in-house with an international organization.
  • Experience working with top management and managing relationships with external bodies such as Tax Authorities and service providers.

  • Strong finance and tax knowledge, IT skills with SAP, Oracle, Cognos, MS Office.
