Job summary

A multinational finance firm seeks a Group Accountant to manage multi-country accounting across Lebanon, UAE, Ghana, and Canada. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing financial statements, managing multi-currency transactions, and coordinating with auditors and tax advisors. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of accounting experience, a degree in Accounting/Finance, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of IFRS. Role Summary:

The Group Accountant will manage multi-country accounting for operations across Lebanon UAE Ghana and Canada. Responsibilities include financial reporting reconciliations inter company coordination and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for multiple entities including GL AP AR bank reconciliations and fixed assets.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L; balance sheet cash flow and variance analysis.
  • Manage multi-currency transactions (USD AED LBP CAD GHS) and inter company accounts.
  • Coordinate with external auditors tax advisors and regulatory bodies in each country.
  • Prepare cash-flow projections and support treasury management.
  • Ensure proper documentation for trading manufacturing real estate investments and loans.
  • Implement financial controls such as payment workflows vendor approval and expense.
  • Assist in evaluating new investments property transactions and CAPEX projects.
  • Support ERP/accounting software improvements or digitalization.
Requirements
  • 58 years accounting experience; multi-entity multi-currency background preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA/CPA/CMA is a plus but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting reconciliations and IFRS basics.
  • Excellent Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
