Job summary

Confidential is recruiting experienced Groundkeepers to join the agronomy and grounds teams at Dubai's premier championship golf courses. You will maintain pristine playing conditions across greens, fairways, and bunkers using modern turf varieties and irrigation systems.

The role involves daily mowing, edging, irrigation, top-dressing, aeration, and safety compliance. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience, be able to start early, and communicate in basic English;

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in golf course maintenance or large-scale landscape upkeep in UAE/GCC.
• Familiarity with warm-season grasses (Paspalum, Bermuda) and cool-season overseeds (Ryegrass).
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and humidity, lifting up to 20 kg.
• Basic English for safety instructions and team coordination; additional languages welcome.

Responsibilities

• Turf Care & Maintenance: Execute daily mowing, edging, bunker raking, and divot repair according to agronomic schedules; monitor grass health, growth patterns, and pest/disease indicators.
• Irrigation Management: Operate and maintain automated sprinkler systems; assist in hand-watering and dry spot treatment as directed by the Agronomist.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on mowers, tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
• Course Preparation: Prepare tees, greens, and fairways for tournaments and daily play; ensure hazards, signage, and cart paths are clean and well-maintained.
• Seasonal Tasks: Assist with top-dressing, aeration, seeding, and fertilization; support winter overseeding operations when required.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all HSE guidelines, chemical handling protocols, and equipment safety standards; report any equipment faults or turf anomalies.

We are recruiting experienced Groundkeepers to join the agronomy and grounds teams at several of Dubai’s premier championship golf courses. This is an excellent opportunity to work with world-class turf varieties, advanced irrigation systems, and elite golf course standards across multiple high-profile properties in Dubai.

You will play a critical role in maintaining pristine playing conditions, ensuring every golfer experiences flawless greens, fairways, and bunkers regardless of the season or weather challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Turf Care & Maintenance: Execute daily mowing, edging, bunker raking, and divot repair according to strict agronomic schedules; monitor grass health, growth patterns, and pest/disease indicators.
• Irrigation Management: Operate and maintain automated sprinkler systems; assist in hand-watering and dry spot treatment as directed by the Agronomist.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on mowers, tractors, sprayers, and other specialized golf course machinery.
• Course Preparation: Prepare tees, greens, and fairways for tournaments and daily play; ensure all hazards, signage, and cart paths are clean and well-maintained.
• Seasonal Tasks: Assist with top-dressing, aeration, seeding, and fertilization programs during peak seasons; support winter overseeding operations when required.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all HSE guidelines, chemical handling protocols, and equipment safety standards; report any equipment faults or turf anomalies immediately.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in golf course maintenance, sports turf management, or large‑scale landscape upkeep in the UAE/GCC.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with warm‑season grasses (Paspalum, Bermuda) and cool‑season overseeds (Ryegrass); understanding of soil types, drainage issues, and irrigation basics.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and humidity; capable of lifting up to 20kg and performing repetitive physical tasks for extended shifts.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic with a focus on early morning starts (typically 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM); punctual and disciplined regarding shift timings.
• Language Skills: Basic English communication required for safety instructions and team coordination; Urdu/Hindi/Tagalog speakers are welcome.
• Certifications: Valid UAE driving license is a plus but not mandatory; previous exposure to pesticide/fertilizer handling certifications is advantageous.
