Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team on a Hybrid work model. This program is designed for recent 2025/2026 graduates to develop through exposure to building services projects, design calculations, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Joining through our Emiratisation program, UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered. The role emphasizes learning, safety, and professional growth within a global infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University.
• Candidates must be recent graduates from 2025 or 2026 to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
• UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, load schedules, and technical documentation for building services projects.
• Assist in developing and optimizing power, lighting, ELV, and other building systems within multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in site reviews, inspections, and coordination activities to ensure QA and design compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Develop foundational expertise in electrical engineering principles, safety requirements, and industry best practices.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Joining AECOM's Graduate Program as aGraduate Electrical Engineer, will provide the opportunity to be an integral part of our team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers exposure to strategic initiatives, as well as involvement in building construction supervision project.

As part of our commitment to Emiratisation and in accordance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.

• Support the preparation of electrical design calculations, drawings, load schedules, and comprehensive technical documentation for building services projects
• Assist in developing and optimizing power, lighting, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), and other building systems within multidisciplinary project teams
• Participate in site reviews, inspections, and coordination activities to ensure quality assurance and design compliance with project standards
• Contribute to design studies, equipment selection, and evaluation of engineering solutions during planning and construction phases
• Maintain organized project documentation, track deliverables, and support project workflows under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate effectively with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and innovative project delivery
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to support design development and problem-solving
• Develop foundational expertise in electrical engineering principles, safety requirements, and industry best practices through continuous learning

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University

2. Candidates must be recent 2025 or 2026 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.

3. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
