Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Graduate Architect to join the Buildings & Places team. You will contribute to concept development, documentation, and site-based activities, building a foundation for your architectural career.

The role is part of the 24‑month Advance graduate program with structured learning and mentoring, designed to grow technical and project coordination skills while aligning with Emiratisation requirements for UAE Nationals.

Qualifications

• UAE National with a Family Book (mandatory under Emiratisation requirements).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Foundational proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and graphic/visualization tools such as Adobe Creative Suite; exposure to BIM workflows is advantageous.
• Understanding of architectural principles, building systems, construction materials, and design coordination workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage tasks under guidance and contribute to technical accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
• A proactive learner with curiosity and enthusiasm for developing both technical and design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of architectural drawings, models, and technical documentation under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in site reviews, field observations, and coordination to ensure constructed work aligns with design intent and project specifications.
• Contribute to design studies, research, material selection, and documentation for planning and construction stages.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineering, sustainability, planning, and technical disciplines—to support coordinated project delivery.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and quality checks to support learning and ensure accuracy in deliverables.
• Maintain organized documentation, track tasks, and support project workflows in alignment with team processes and deadlines.
