Job summary

A procurement and supply institute is seeking a Buyer responsible for the acquisition of commodities and services. This role involves ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and handling vendor negotiations. Candidates must have a high school diploma and proven customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Experience in purchasing is preferred. The position requires travel and the ability to perform moderate lifting in an office environment.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand, speak, read and write English at an advanced level.
• Familiarity with US Government procurement procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cradle-to-grave acquisition of Program commodity and service requirements.
• Review and action requests for locally purchased materials.
• Conduct pre-bid conferences and prepare RFQs.
