Job summary

Trus holding is seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to manage group-wide legal matters and provide strategic advice to management. The role covers drafting and negotiating complex contracts, handling cross-border transactions, and coordinating with external counsel across UAE and other jurisdictions.

You will support new market expansion, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate contractual risks while maintaining a robust contract management system. Dubai-based with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• UAE legal experience strongly preferred.
• International/cross-border commercial experience is an advantage.
• Experience supporting diversified business groups is preferred.
• Strong commercial and corporate legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal matters across Group companies and business verticals.
• Provide legal advice to Group Management and Business Heads.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, distribution, supplier, customer, logistics, service agreements, NDAs, MOUs and other contracts.
• Review contracts relating to Distribution, Own Brands, HORECA, Institutional Sales, Bulk Sales, Logistics and International Trade.
• Identify contractual, commercial and operational legal risks.
• Develop standardized Group contract templates and approval processes.
• Establish and maintain a Group contract management system.
• Monitor contract expiry, renewal obligations and compliance.
• Advise on cross-border commercial transactions and international business expansion.
• Coordinate legal matters relating to new companies, markets, partnerships and business expansion.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory requirements across operating countries.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel in UAE and other countries.
• Manage litigation, disputes, claims, notices and legal proceedings.
• Support management in resolving commercial and contractual disputes.
• Conduct legal due diligence for new investments, partnerships, businesses and major transactions.
• Protect Group intellectual property, trademarks, confidential information and commercial interests.
• Identify recurring legal risks and recommend preventive controls.
• Develop legal policies, SOPs and approval workflows.
• Maintain a Group-level legal risk register.
• Prepare regular legal and compliance reports for Group Management.
• UAE legal experience strongly preferred.
• International/cross-border commercial experience is an advantage.
