A&O Shearman in Dubai is seeking an Associate to join our Global Financial Markets team to work on cutting-edge finance deals, advise governments and financial institutions, and support cross-border transactions.

The role involves managing day-to-day transactions, drafting documents, conducting legal research, and providing strategic guidance to clients in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Qualified lawyer with Dubai eligibility and NQ to 3 PQE.
• Experience in international organisations or complex transactions.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.?

We are currently recruiting for an Associate to join our Global Financial Markets team in Dubai

Department purpose

Our Global Financial Markets GFM team covers an exciting and broad area of finance We work with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions on helping governments supranational entities and the world s most successful financial institutions and companies fund themselves and manage risk Our work shapes market practice and our lawyers are involved in innovative cutting edge and high-profile deals We have advised on many industry firsts including some of the most innovative transactions in sustainable finance and digital bonds In recent years we have also advised clients on complex funding matters as they navigate difficult economic conditions and often act as a client's first port of call in times of market crisis

Role amp responsibilities

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of transactions
• Preparing legal documents for execution
• Legal research and know how development
• Drafting standard and more complex documents including precedents
• Providing strategic guidance to clients
• Managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately
• Business development - development of personal plan assistance with and implementation of business development campaign

Key requirements

• Qualified lawyer NQ 3 PQE
• Self-starter with the desire and ability to continuously acquire build upon and share knowledge
• Sound experience of operating within a complex international organisation
• Strong commercial business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice
• Strong legal and analytical skills
• Proven prioritisation organisational and project management skills
• Excellent communication professionalism and interpersonal skills
• Organised and methodical approach to work
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and style with both clients and fee-earners
