Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Dubai, UAE | Global Trading & FinTech Business
Executive Leadership Opportunity

We are working with a rapidly growing international trading and financial technology business to appoint a Global Chief Technology Officer as it continues to scale its operations and establishes Dubai as its global headquarters.

With approximately 1,000 employees internationally and operations spanning the Middle East, Asia and Europe, the business operates across the proprietary trading and broader financial markets space.

This is a significant technology leadership mandate with responsibility for the global technology strategy, engineering organisation, architecture, platforms and future technical direction of the business.

The Role

The CTO will take ownership of technology across the group, working closely with the executive leadership team to build a scalable, high-performance technology organisation capable of supporting continued international growth.

You will be responsible for:

• Defining and executing the global technology strategy

• Leading engineering and technology teams across multiple international locations

• Driving the architecture and evolution of high-performance trading platforms

• Scaling engineering capability, processes and technical leadership

• Ensuring platforms remain highly available, resilient, secure and scalable

• Leading major technology transformation and modernisation initiatives

• Building and developing senior engineering leadership teams

• Working closely with Product, Operations and executive stakeholders

• Supporting the continued growth of the organisation from its new Dubai headquarters

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in technology leaders who have operated within complex, high-volume financial markets environments.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

FX | CFDs | Proprietary Trading | Brokerage | Electronic Trading | Crypto | Exchanges | Market Making | Institutional Trading

You are likely to have:

• Previous CTO, CIO, VP Engineering or equivalent senior technology leadership experience

• Deep experience building and scaling trading or financial technology platforms

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, high-performance architecture and real-time platforms

• Experience leading sizeable, geographically distributed engineering organisations

• A strong combination of strategic leadership and genuine technical depth

• Experience operating in a fast-moving, highly commercial environment

• The credibility to work directly with founders, boards and executive leadership teams

This is not a maintenance CTO position. The business is looking for someone who can build, transform and scale, while remaining close enough to the technology to challenge architecture and engineering decisions at the highest level.

Location: Dubai, UAE

The successful individual will be based in Dubai and play a central role in the next stage of the company's global growth.
