Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to design and implement advanced control for gimbals and optical platforms. You will develop real-time algorithms, model dynamic systems, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate sensors and actuators for high-precision tracking and stabilization.

The role requires a Master’s in a related field, 5+ years of experience in control systems, and proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Control Systems engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in control systems engineering, focused on gimbal stabilization.
• Hands-on experience with real-time control in embedded systems or DSPs.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems for target tracking and stabilization platforms.
• Develop real-time control algorithms for electro-optical systems with high precision.
• Create mathematical models and simulations to predict performance.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate sensors and actuators.
• Tune, validate, and optimize control systems to meet stability and response targets.
• Test, document, and reproduce control algorithms in lab and field.
• Prepare technical papers and proposals for stakeholders.
