Our company is in search of a dedicated Geriatric Medicine Doctor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive medical care to elderly patients, focusing on enhancing their health and quality of life. Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of geriatric patients, including evaluations of their medical history, physical health, and psychosocial needs
- Design and implement individualized care plans to manage chronic conditions and promote healthy aging
- Oversee the management of medications, ensuring efficacy and safety tailored to elderly patients
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Engage in continuous professional development and advocacy in the field of geriatric medicine
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Geriatric Medicine is required
- Current and valid medical license in the practicing state
- 3-5 years of experience in geriatric medicine or a similar clinical area
- Strong knowledge of age-related health issues, care strategies, and treatment options
- Exceptional communication and empathy skills for fostering relationships with elderly patients and their families
- Ability to work effectively within a teamwork-oriented healthcare setting
