Job summary

InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a General Technician – AC to maintain and operate the resort's air‑conditioning and HVAC systems across guest rooms and public areas. You’ll work with the Engineering team to ensure comfort and reliability.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment (split, FCU, AHU), monitor refrigerant and electrical components, and keep maintenance records. A technical certificate in HVAC and good English are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in hotels in a similar position.
• Technical qualification or certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AC/HVAC systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and general maintenance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic command of spoken and written English.
• Physically able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and respond to emergencies when required.

Responsibilities

• Check refrigerant levels, filters, coils, motors, belts, drains, thermostats, and electrical components.
• Respond promptly to AC and maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring guest comfort and following up on recurring or major issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment condition, and repairs.
• Support other technicians with maintenance and repair tasks when required.
• Follow safe handling procedures for refrigerants, tools, and equipment.
• Follow resort SOPs, engineering standards, brand requirements, and safety procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Your Day to Day

As a General Technician – AC, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the resort’s air-conditioning and HVAC systems. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities maintain a comfortable environment while supporting the Engineering team with general maintenance requirements.
