Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy presents an opportunity for an experienced General Surgeon with a UK CCT to join a leading UAE healthcare institution in Dubai. The role covers comprehensive surgical assessment, treatment, and postoperative care for a broad range of general surgical conditions.

The candidate will work in multidisciplinary teams, participate in governance and teaching, and ensure compliance with UAE medical regulations. UAE licensing eligibility and strong operative skills are required.

Qualifications

• UK CCT in General Surgery or recognized equivalent.
• Valid medical registration in the UK or current country of practice.
• Post-CCT experience in General Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and develop appropriate surgical treatment plans.
• Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
• Manage GI tract, abdomen, hernias, breast, skin and soft tissue conditions.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Identify and manage surgical emergencies and complications.
• Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists and intensivists.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior staff.
