Job summary

St. Regis Dubai is seeking a hotel Runner to support multiple departments and ensure guests and teammates have what they need when they need it. Runners move throughout the hotel, delivering items to rooms, assisting housekeeping, engineering, banquets, and restaurants, and helping front office as required.

You will work on your feet, read instructions, and handle light lifting, maintaining safety, confidentiality, and a polished appearance in line with Marriott standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience.
• No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and departments by delivering items and providing support across hotel operations.
• Move about the space on foot and perform light lifting and carrying tasks as needed (up to 55 pounds).

Runners will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps), ensure they have what they need to do their work (read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print; visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). Doing all of these things well, and other reasonable job duties as requested, is critical for Runners – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.
