Job summary

The Czech Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi seeks a General Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions, while promoting preventive health and patient education.

Reporting to the Medical Director, you will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain thorough records, and participate in quality improvement and CPD activities to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid license/registration to practice as a GP.
• Completion of internship/residency or equivalent training.
• Relevant clinical experience in primary care or general medicine.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical consultations, physical examinations, and patient assessments.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement treatment and management plans.
• Prescribe medications and other treatments per guidelines.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other investigations.
• Provide preventive healthcare, health screening, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling.
• Monitor patients with chronic conditions and provide ongoing follow-up care.
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals when required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Recognize and manage medical emergencies and arrange referral or transfer when necessary.
• Communicate diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and other professionals.
• Follow clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, and regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and CPD.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant clinical experience in primary care or general medicine.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS may be preferred.


• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
