Job summary

reeqwest is seeking a GL Accounting Section Head to lead the General Ledger function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely closing, and robust internal controls in a fast-paced retail environment in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate will oversee journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration with AP/AR/Treasury, bringing 7+ years in GL accounting and strong Excel and Odoo ERP expertise. A bachelor's degree is required; professional certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in GL accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Retail experience a plus; strong knowledge of closing processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo).
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the General Ledger team, providing guidance and performance management.
