Job summary

A luxury beauty brand distributor in Dubai seeks a General Accountant to manage accounts payable, maintain general ledger accounts, and oversee inventory management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the beauty or FMCG sector, ideally with Saudi Arabia accounting exposure. Knowledge of ERPs like Oracle and advanced Excel skills are essential for this role. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.

Job description

Our client is a luxury beauty and lifestyle brands distributor in the Middle East looking to hire a General Accountantwith practical experience inAccounts payable, Cashbooks, General ledger accounts maintenance, inventory management, and taxation. Capable of working independently with minimum supervision.

What will you do?

• Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
• Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility
  
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, goods sold on consignment
• Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
  
• Receive inventory in the accounting system and generate suppliers' Invoices in multi-currencies
  
• Maintain effective inventory for the company by running item forecasts based on current stock holding

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor in Accounting/Commerce/Business Studies degree majoring in Accounting or Applied Accounting. ACCA/CIMA/CA will be an added advantage
• SAUDI ARABIA accounting and taxation experience
  
• Minimum 3 years of practical accounting experience in a beauty/cosmetics or FMCG distribution or trading organization
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using ERPs software such as Oracle, SAGE, SAP
• Inventory experience with min 500 SKUs is a MUST
