Job summary

Kelvin Catering Services & Facilities Management (Emirates) LLC is seeking a Gardener Team Leader to supervise a UAE-based landscaping crew and uphold high standards across gardens, lawns, and beds. You will plan daily assignments, coordinate routine activities, mentor staff, ensure safe handling of tools and chemicals, and maintain records for management updates in a fast-paced facilities environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of gardeners to ensure efficient daily landscaping operations and maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, hedges, and landscaped areas to the required standards.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor daily work assignments to ensure timely completion of gardening and landscaping activities.
• Coordinate and oversee routine landscaping activities, including watering, pruning, trimming, shaping, fertilizing, planting, and pest control.
• Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify improvement opportunities and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.
• Train, coach, and motivate gardeners to improve their skills and productivity, including proper trimming, shaping, and general landscape maintenance techniques.
• Ensure gardening tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained, safely operated, and kept in good working condition.
• Monitor the correct usage, handling, and storage of fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals in compliance with safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure team compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and company policies.
• Report accidents, hazards, equipment failures, and landscaping issues promptly to the relevant team members.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Management team for landscaping improvement projects, special requirements, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain records of completed tasks, work progress, materials used, and report operational updates to management as required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in landscaping, gardening, or horticulture operations.
• Previous experience as a Gardener Team Leader, Landscaping Supervisor, or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of gardening practices, including pruning, trimming, planting, irrigation, fertilizing, and pest control activities.
• Proven ability to supervise, guide, and manage a team of gardeners effectively.
• Experience in planning daily work schedules, allocating tasks, and monitoring team performance.
• Good knowledge of gardening tools, equipment, machinery, and safe operating practices.
• Understanding of proper handling and storage procedures for fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals.
• Good awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements within landscaping operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.
• Ability to maintain high-quality landscaping standards while working in a fast-paced Facilities Management environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by operational needs.
