The role focuses on developing annual category plans, optimizing margins, assortments, pricing and promotions, while monitoring stock, inventory, and performance metrics across territories. Leadership responsibility includes KRAs and team development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in the Home Retail Industry.
• Postgraduate or Graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive category growth and profitability by developing comprehensive category plans.
• Manage gross margins and ensure alignment with budgets and business plans.
• Prepare annual plans for the assigned category and inputs for merchandising budgets.
• Study trends from historical data and market research to support planning.
• Oversee vendor base, negotiations, and supplier relationships to maximize profit.
• In-season management across territories: stock balancing, markdowns, stock vs. sales analysis.
• Guide design and development with product features, packaging, and resource planning.
• Set KRAs for team and supervise performance appraisals.
• Conduct competition research to provide market insights and pricing guidance.
