The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Gulf region, and a diploma in engineering. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience, with 2 years relevant experience.
• 1 year of GCC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operation of electric arc furnaces to ensure optimal performance.

• Control process parameters for metallurgical consistency.
• Enforce safety procedures and monitor compliance.
• Identify performance issues and coordinate repairs.

Skills

Job Summary

The Furnace Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of steelmaking furnaces, ensuring efficient melting, refining, and casting processes. This role involves managing furnace operators, optimizing process parameters, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards to maximize production efficiency.

Job Responsibilities 1

• Supervise the operation of electric arc furnaces (EAF), induction furnaces, or ladle refining furnaces (LRF) to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with the production team to meet daily and monthly steel output targets.
• Control process parameters such as temperature, power input, and alloy additions to ensure metallurgical consistency.
• Enforce safety procedures, including PPE usage, heat protection measures, and emergency protocols.
• Ensure adherence to chemical composition and mechanical properties specifications for molten steel.
• Identify furnace performance issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and refractory lining inspections.
• Monitor scrap metal, ferroalloys, and flux consumption to maintain efficiency and cost control.
• Supervise furnace operators, conduct performance evaluations, and provide technical training.
• Maintain records of heat logs, furnace performance data, and production reports.
• Implement energy-saving measures and optimize power consumption for cost-effective furnace operation.

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of industrial safety regulations, emissions control, and workplace hazard management.
