Job summary

Jackpot Technologies is seeking a seasoned web game engineer to build casino titles in Phaser.js and TypeScript. You will engineer the game loop, rendering, and logic, ensuring fast, smooth play across many devices, with precise timing and deterministic outcomes.

You will collaborate with artists and backend teams to ship polished games, optimize performance, and implement multi-language, multi-currency support in a fast-paced, Dubai-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production web games or interactive web apps with Phaser.js and TypeScript titles
• Strong grasp of game loops, frame timing, and rendering performance in the browser
• Hands-on with Phaser's scene, sprite, tween, and particle systems; comfortable with WebGL/shaders when needed
• Animation chops: Phaser tweens/timelines, skeletal animation a plus, sound‑synced FX a plus
• Solid architecture and state management scalable across titles for fast reuse
• Performance profiling in Chrome DevTools; keep load times and memory footprint low on constrained devices
• Real-time integration: websockets, deterministic outcomes, graceful reconnection
• Timing sensitivity: explain why 18-frame easing feels better than 12-frame version
• Fluent with AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to move faster without sacrificing quality
• Fast, reliable production cadence; plan work, hit dates, avoid leaving messes for others

Responsibilities

• Build casino games end to end in Phaser.js and TypeScript: game loop, rendering, state, math, UI
• Bring mechanics to life with precise timing from reels to card/dice/wheel games
• Create win animations, particle FX, screen transitions, and big-win celebrations with Phaser and shaders when needed
• Integrate game math, RNG, and real-time outcomes from backend with deterministic results
• Hit 60fps across devices; profile performance, remove draw call and texture bottlenecks, optimize assets
• Implement responsive layouts across devices with multi-language and multi-currency support
• Drive custom rendering with WebGL shaders or Pixi-level techniques when Phaser is insufficient
• Collaborate with artists, animators, designers, and backend; ship polished games
• Build reusable systems and a shared game framework to speed up future titles
