The Head Therapist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the spa treatment team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, and managing therapist scheduling and training. This role includes performing premium spa treatments, guiding the team, and supporting the overall success and reputation of the spa.

Responsibilities
  1. Spa Operations & Service Excellence
    • Lead the therapy team to deliver high-quality spa treatments and guest services.
    • Ensure all spa protocols, hygiene standards, and safety procedures are strictly followed.
    • Oversee treatment room readiness, cleanliness, and equipment functionality.
    • Address guest concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  2. Leadership & Team Management
    • Supervise, motivate, and support the team of therapists to achieve excellence.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance skills and service techniques.
    • Prepare duty rosters, schedules, and daily task assignments for therapists.
    • Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when required.
  3. Guest Experience
    • Maintain strong guest relationships by ensuring personalized and memorable experiences.
    • Recommend treatments and wellness programs based on guest needs.
    • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and propose improvement strategies.
  4. Treatment Delivery
    • Perform high-quality massages, facials, body treatments, and wellness therapies.
    • Demonstrate expert knowledge of spa products, techniques, and trends.
    • Ensure therapists follow proper treatment procedures and protocols.
  5. Administrative Duties
    • Assist in managing inventory of spa products, linens, and supplies.
    • Support in updating treatment menus, SOPs, and training materials.
    • Collaborate with the Spa Manager on promotions, packages, and monthly reports.
  6. Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure all treatments comply with hotel policies and local government regulations.
    • Maintain accurate treatment records and incident reports when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or certification in Massage Therapy, Spa Therapy, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Senior/Lead Therapist in a luxury hotel or spa.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Knowledge of spa products, treatments, and wellness trends.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
