This position works out of our Dubai location in the Nutrition division.

What you'll do
  • Business partnering with various functions as required and provide FP&A support to drive a sustainable and profitable growth in the Africa, Levant, and other Gulf markets. Lead ANI Commercial Finance team to provide financial support to all commercial and supporting functions in Africa, Levant, and other Gulf markets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual and long‑term financial analyses and reports to meet internal as well as Area & Division reporting requirements, while assuring that all reporting deadlines are met. Drive process improvements to reduce unnecessary work/tasks. Drive automation of financial reports.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis as required by Local Management and Area; work closely with Commercial teams to generate and implement ideas for cost leadership and profitability. Coordinate with distributors to resolve issues, review RLBE (70% responsibility), and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across Africa, Levant, and other Gulf markets.
  • Manage Demand and ADS processes for Africa opportunistic markets, including Host Upload and Actuals for P&L and balance sheet reviews (excluding UAE, Kuwait & South Africa). Review balance sheet items for adequacy of reserves and accruals, ensuring compliance with Abbott and local reporting requirements.
  • Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cash Flow Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross‑functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution.
  • Regularly review local financial policies and procedures to assure adequate internal controls are maintained in the countries.
  • Review balance sheet items including adequacy of reserves and accruals and supporting documentation; assure financial transactions are properly recorded and meet Abbott and local reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and assure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner with effective remediation programs.
  • Carry special projects or analysis as directed by Senior management.
Major accountabilities and estimated time allocation

Business partnering with various functions as required and provide FP&A support to drive a sustainable and profitable growth in Africa, Levant, and other Gulf markets. Lead ANI Commercial Finance team to provide financial support to all commercial and supporting functions in Africa, Levant, and other Gulf.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual and long‑term financial analyses and reports to meet internal as well as Area & Division reporting requirements, while assuring that all reporting deadlines are met.

Review balance sheet items including adequacy of reserves and accruals and supporting documentation; assure financial transactions are properly recorded and meet Abbott and local reporting requirements.

Drive process improvements to reduce unnecessary work/tasks. Drive automation of financial reports.

Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cash Flow Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross‑functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution.

A key contributor to Distributor negotiations to drive distributor fee, GTN and DSO optimization. Work with distributors to assure timely collections and efficiency of claims process.

Regularly review local financial policies and procedures to assure adequate internal controls are maintained in the countries.

Facilitate internal and external audits and assure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner with effective remediation programs.

Regularly assess the organization structure to meet changing business needs. Develop and build strong controllership organization to meet both individual professional development and business growth needs.

  • Relevant working experience in both accounting and financial analysis with multi‑national companies preferably from Nutrition or FMCG industry in similar role.
  • Prior Senior Finance/FP&A Manager experience in MEAP required.
