Job summary

SAP seeks an experienced AI software engineer to design, build, and operate AI-native, cloud-native enterprise applications. You will embed into customer projects, translate requirements into scalable architectures, and deliver end-to-end solutions with modern AI practices and guardrails.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in cloud-native, enterprise and SaaS environments with focus on scalability, security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate production-grade cloud-native enterprise apps with AI capabilities (LLMs, RAG, agent-based workflows).
• Embed into customer projects to understand processes, landscapes, and challenges.
• Translate requirements into robust architectures balancing speed, quality, security, and maintainability.
• Prototype, iterate, and productionize solutions in customer environments with reusable assets.
• Own delivery end-to-end from problem framing through deployment and production operations.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices with guardrails for compliant, trustworthy solutions.
• Ensure milestones, quality standards, and objectives are met while managing risks.
• Communicate solution approaches and progress to customers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to standards and reusable components to improve efficiency.
