Job summary

DSV in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Forklift Driver Heavy Duty Open Yard to ensure safe and efficient offloading, put-away, picking and packing for inbound and outbound operations. You will operate MHE with a strong safety mindset and perform pre-use checks to keep equipment in good condition.

With a minimum of 2 years forklift experience in the UAE and a valid UAE forklift license, you will help maintain high service levels and support daily logistics activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School education completed.
• 2 years forklift experience in UAE or similar environment.
• Valid UAE forklift licence and basic communication skills required.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination and strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move goods and prevent accidents.
• Maintain forklift utilization and report discrepancies.
• Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and report any issues.
• Stop operation immediately in case of malfunction or unsafe conditions.
• Assist with loading/unloading and stacking materials for outbound shipments.
• Follow supervisor instructions and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.
• Prepare materials for outbound shipments and ensure proper placement.
• Report damages or safety concerns promptly to supervisor.
• Identify and communicate potential operational improvements.

Forklift Driver Heavy Duty Open Yard

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that offloading put away picking and packing processes for inbound and outbound operations are performed efficiently and in a safe manner so as to ensure customer satisfaction. Operate MHE equipment in a responsible manner whilst observing all safety measures during process of operation.

Responsibilities:

• Operating the forklift in a proper manner and ensuring that no accidents / damages are caused due to negligent driving.
• Ensuring that the forklift is optimally utilized and regularly maintained.
• Carrying out daily inspection of equipment prior to usage to ensure that the equipment is safe to be operated and reporting any discrepancy to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensuring to stop operation of equipment at any given time in the event of malfunction.
• Reporting accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Following instructions from the supervisor during Loading and Downloading material whilst observing HSE policies and procedures.
• Preparing material for outbound.
• Ensuring that the materials are stacked accurately assuring safe and proper placement.
• Reporting damages immediately to the supervisor while performing duty.
• Elevating potential problems exceptions and opportunities for improvement of operation to the supervisor.
• Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Supervisor from time to time to meet business exigencies.
