Job summary

Confidential Careers seeks a seasoned Flight Controls Engineer to design, validate, and integrate flight control and autopilot systems for aircraft. You will define architectures, manage requirements, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.

The role requires 5 years of industry experience, strong systems engineering skills, and familiarity with CATIA and DOORS/ENOVIA. Knowledge of RTCA-DO-160 and SAE ARP standards is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace/electronics engineering or related field.
  • 5 years of industry experience in flight controls and autopilot systems.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering: requirements, architecture, integration, testing, verification.
  • Familiarity with CATIA CAD and requirement management tools (DOORS, ENOVIA).
  • Knowledge of aircraft standards (RTCA-DO-160, SAE ARP 4754/4761) and certification (Parts 21/23).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Job description

Design, develop, and validate aircraft flight control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient flight operations. The role involves system integration, performance analysis, testing, and compliance with aviation standards while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to enhance aircraft stability and control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Flight Control and Autopilot systems.
  • Define system architecture, logic, and requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and reports.
  • Manage system requirements and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Support installation, integration, and testing of system equipment.
  • Set up and maintain test laboratories, tools, and infrastructure.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.c) in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Experience: Five (5) years of industry experience in the design and implementation of Flight Controls and Autopilot Systems.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, integration, testing, and verification
  • Familiarity with engineering CAD (CATIA) and requirement management tools (Doors, Enovia)
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions
  • Standards: Familiarity with aircraft system engineering related standards, including but not limited to, RTCA-DO-160, SAE ARP 4754 and SAE ARP 4761
  • Certification: Familiarity with aircraft certification standards, at least Parts 21 and 23
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Outlook)
  • Work and communicate effectively in a group/team and interdisciplinary environment
