Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Fitter you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing and maintaining various mechanical components and structures in our manufacturing facility.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine fitting requirements
• Measure, cut and shape materials according to specifications using various hand and power tools
• Assemble and install mechanical components ensuring proper alignment and fit
• Perform welding tasks as needed to join metal parts and components
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all fittings meet required standards and specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to all safety protocols
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
• Document work completed and report any issues or concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in fitting or related field preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Fitter in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Expertise in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping and assembling materials
• Strong knowledge of various fitting techniques and procedures
• Ability to measure and cut materials accurately with attention to detail
• Welding skills preferred
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and mechanical aptitude
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
• Knowledge of materials commonly used in fitting processes
• Relevant trade certifications (e.g. AWS ASME) are a plus
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
