Position Overview

The Fishing Assistant will work closely with the Fishing Crew to assist in all aspects of fishing operations. This includes preparing and maintaining fishing equipment, baiting hooks, setting and retrieving fishing lines, and cleaning and storing catches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fishing and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work long hours and in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Fishing Crew in preparing and maintaining fishing equipment, including rods, reels, lines, and bait.
• Bait hooks and set and retrieve fishing lines.
• Assist in cleaning and storing catches, ensuring proper handling and storage techniques are followed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the fishing boat.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while on the boat and handling equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the Fishing Crew and other team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Assist in other tasks as needed, such as boat maintenance and repair, to support the overall fishing operations.
