Job summary

GlobalDrum is building an AI-native, multi-tenant platform for the media sector. We are seeking a visionary Machine Learning Engineer to join as the first ML hire and shape the function from the ground up.

You will work with the Director of Engineering to turn audience, content, and revenue data into models powering recommendations and monetisation. This role is hands-on and strategic.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying recommender systems in production.
• Experience with Graph Neural Networks and network science basics.
• Ability to own end-to-end ML lifecycle from data to deployment.
• Proficient in PyTorch or TensorFlow and MLOps practices.
• Experience in early-stage startups and cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recommendations systems from design to deployment.
• Build ML foundation: pipelines, feature stores, experimentation, serving.
• Design real-time data pipelines for training and inference.
• Define offline/online evaluation methods for model impact.
• Set standards for model development, versioning and monitoring.
• Write production-grade ML code and leverage AI coding assistants.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to translate questions into ML problems.
• Help roadmap and hiring plan for ML team as it grows.
