Description

The Opportunity

The Government Communications Department seeks an incumbent who provides artwork and technical support for the production of publications and other materials that give information about and create publicity for Zayed University. To be available on site at the printing press to proof and follow job through print production process. To trouble post press and prepress problems that may arise

The Responsibilities

• Provide basic graphic design and formatting for the core publications of Zayed University
• Provide finishing art and formatting for a wide variety of Zayed University publications
• Produce final artwork and coordinate closely with print vendors to ensure quality and timeliness during the production phase of publications
• Provide graphic design support and assistance to the Graphic Arts Specialist helping to create and maintain a high quality unified visual identity that permeates Zayed Universitys visual image.
• Assist in coordinating the storage organization and distribution of ZU publications throughout the ZU community

The Requirements

• 01 years experience working in graphic design or the graphic arts preferably with experience working directly within a printing house and higher Diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Highly computer literate with strong knowledge of Macintosh operating systems
• Expertise in appropriate graphic design computer software
• Excellent command of English is necessary. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus but not essential.
